Jett was very giddy about being set apart as a Missionary last night (Jan 20). Today (Jan 21) he was nervous as we pulled in to the MTC. Kim all 7 siblings and I went in with him. His Grandma and Grandpa Blackwell and Uncle Matt were there as well.

We took a lot of pictures, then went down the hall to a chapel. there we listened to short talks by one of the Counselors and his wife; watched "Called to Serve" video and attempted a "band-aid" goodbye, which is to say a goodbye quickly to lessen the pain like pulling off a bandaid fast. That didn't go for our family. They all cried as they each said goodbye to Jett. Kim actually sobbed. They cried again in the van on the way out of the MTC. They cried on the way to the MTC as well... For some reason i didn't. I am so excited for him!!!! He started one of the GREATEST ADVENTURES of a lifetime! I told him that is why I wasn't crying... I am well pleased with him. He is an amazing young man.
